Biography

Classically trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, England’s Stuart Wilson carved out a career as a character actor. After performing on stage with the Royal Shakespeare Company, the up-and-comer appeared on British miniseries (Anna Karenina; I, Claudius; The Pallisers; The Strauss Family) and television shows (Return of the Saint, Running Blind, The Sweeney, Tales of the Unexpected) in the 1970s. The new decade brought roles in TV movies, including Ivanhoe (1982), Romance on the Orient Express (1985), The Deliberate Death of a Polish Priest (1986), and Voice of the Heart (1989). By the 1990s, Stuart could be seen on the big screen in a host of Hollywood hits. Check him out in Lethal Weapon 3 (1992) with Mel Gibson; The Age of Innocence (1993) with Daniel Day-Lewis; The Mask of Zorro (1998) with Antonio Banderas; and Enemy of the State (1998) with Gene Hackman. Since the turn of the millennium, the busy bloke bounced back to the boob tube to portray Robin Of Locksley in the small screen adventure Princess of Thieves (2001) and the Duke of Burgundy on the BBC series Heroes and Villains (2008). Yet Mr. Man was more turned on by Mr. Wilson’s topless turn in The Jewel in the Crown (1984). Set in India during and after World War II, the PBS drama features Art Malik, Charles Dance, Peggy Ashcroft, Geraldine James, Saeed Jaffrey, and Stuart’s skin! In a revealing scene, the nude dude flashes his back and bum. All that’s missing are his crown jewels!
