The Eyes of Tammy Faye (2021) is the campy true story of Tammy Faye Bakker and her evangelical preacher husband Jim Bakker. Tammy Faye and Jim Bakker rose to prominence as televangelists. We follow the pair from their youth as young Christian kids who fall in love and become Christian evangelical preachers. We watch them in the 70s and 80s when they find their way to TV preaching messages of love and acceptance - as well as wealth. A lot of wealth. Their stars rise and the two of them start a religious broadcasting network AND a full-on theme park. With fame like this, a downfall is bound to happen. Rivals, financial problems, backstabbing, and a sex scandal topples the grip they had on their televangelist empire. Michael Showalter directed this film that stars Jessica Chastain as the titular Tammy Faye. She is obviously giving us life, but we get our rocks off from Andrew Garfield who plays Jim Bakker. In one kind of strange scene, Andrew Garfield sits in the bathtub and gets bathed by Jessica Chastain. Is she washing her hubby? Yes, but it gets romantic! He starts off in a pissy mood, but then things get horny. He is shirtless, obviously, in the tub, and Jessica coos in his ear and tries to cheer him up in the tub by giving him a handjob.
