The Getaway (1994)

It takes a special kind of vision and bravery to remake a film that is an acknowledged and revered classic. When Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger undertook the updating of a Sam Peckinpah gem with their version of The Getaway (1994), they saw that more nudity would be their key to success, and they had the courage to implement that starkly skintastic vision. The fact that they were also a real-life couple helps account for the real-life aspects of their onscreen coupling. Baldwin is at the height of his swarthy machismo, and gives an awesome view of his butt and hair down below while peeling off his boxers. No one would want to Getaway from that!
