The Gray Man (2022)

After conquering the Marvel Cinematic Universe with four of the biggest films in the entire franchise, The Russo Brothers were enlisted by Netflix to bring their newfound brand of big budget spectacle with the action spy thriller The Gray Man (2022). This globe trotting adventure focuses on C.I.A. black ops agent Sierra Six (Ryan Gosling), whose handler Donald (Billy Bob Thornton) springs him from prison only to inform him that he'll be retiring. Donald's replacement Denny (Rege-Jean Page) doesn't think much of Sierra and sends him on a suicide mission, which he survives along with a thumb drive containing all the critical info on other black ops agents around the world. Desperate to retrieve the thumb drive and kill Sierra, Denny sends in Lloyd (Chris Evans), a ruthless, mustachioed assassin who is the only man capable of taking Sierra out of commission. Sadly, this $200 million PG-13 actioner is more focused on fighting action than the bedroom action, though there is a sexy scene 44 minutes in where a shirtless Ryan Gosling takes a quick bath!
