Fox plays a Hollywood actor named Nick Lang who is looking to brush up on his cop realness. He reaches out to the police department to see if he can get some actual training, and as luck would have it, the police chief is a big fan of Nick's werk. But you know who isn't a fan of Nick? The cop who he gets teamed up with! Uh oh! Nick Lang's unwitting cop buddy is Lt. John Moss, played by none other than the legendary actor James Woods. While initially Nick assumed his police tenure would be all fun and games, he ends up getting sucked into Moss' very real-life pursuit of an evil murderer played by Stephen Lang. As you can probably imagine, the '90s antics just don't stop as The Hard Way takes us on the ride-along of our lives.
