The Outwaters (2023)

The found footage horror film The Outwaters (2023) is something of a passion project for its writer, director, and star Robbie Banfitch. Aspiring filmmaker Robbie has been asked to shoot a music video for rising superstar Michelle (Michelle May) in the Mojave Desert. With no real budget to speak of, Robbie recruits his brother Scott (Scott Schamell) and his best friend Angela (Angela Basolis) to help with the shoot. Upon arriving at the dried up riverbed where the shoot will take place, strange occurrences begin piling up, leading to terrifying results. Think Blair Witch Project (1999) but in color, brightly lit, and in the desert. Robbie Banfitch is a man willing to go the extra mile for his art, baring all as he walks nude through the desert! Yes, it all ends in bloody fashion with him cutting off his penis, but it's just Hollywood magic, try and focus on the scene where his penis is attached to his body!
