Vanilla Sky (2001)

Vanilla Sky (2001) is Cameron Crowe's remake of Alejandro Amenábar's Spanish film Open Your Eyes (1997), both starring Penélope Cruz, this time the object of Tom Cruise's affection. Cruise plays David Aames, a self-indulgent publisher whose life is uprooted after his damaged, vengeful girl on the side Julie Gianni (Cameron Diaz), sends the two of them into a near fatal car wreck, permanently scarring the vain man's face and forcing him to wear a mask. But as his life continues to spiral out of control, complete with surreal hallucinations, Aames realizes it's not just his face that's been shattered, but quite possibly, his sanity. Tom goes topless on three separate occasions early in the film, and while his pretty face is still intact for all of them, he can rest assured that even without it, he's still got one bodacious bod! You'll always be our tasty vanilla treat, Tommy!
