As not to be known as a cheesy actor, Vincenzo Ricotta changed his name to Vincent Riotta. And a star was born — across the pond. For decades, the English dish has been serving his spicy presence on stage (A Streetcar Named Desire); on film (Hanna’s War, Matter of Trust, In Love and War); and on television (Coronation Street, JAG, Monk, Alias). Born in Britain to Italian immigrants, Vincenzo is bi… lingual since he speaks fluent English and Sicilian. After attending the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Vince had no trouble finding leading, supporting and cameo parts. He played Al Capone in A Little Worm (1995) and Fernando Reggiani in House of Gucci (2021). In between, Vincent could be seen playing one of Diane Lane’s love interests in the romantic dramedy Under the Tuscan Sun (2003). Through the years, he appeared in Captain Corelli’s Mandolin (2001) with Nicolas Cage; The Dark Knight (2008) with Christian Bale; Nine (2009) with Daniel Day-Lewis; Rush (2013) with Chris Hemsworth; and The Two Popes (2019) with Anthony Hopkins. Of course, Mr. Man is more turned on by Mr. Riotta’s shirtless turn in Da Vinci’s Demons (2013-2014). The Starz saga features Tom Riley, Ken Bones, Hugh Bonneville, Elliot Cowan, James Faulkner, Matthew Tennyson, and Vince’s skin!
