Welcome to Sudden Death (2020)

Welcome to Sudden Death is a hilarious throwback to the explosive action movies that defined the '80s and '90s. In case you couldn't tell by the subtle title, Welcome to Sudden Death is based on the 1995 Jean-Claude Van Damme movie Sudden Death. This time around the acclaimed and studly actor Michael Jai White plays our lead, Jesse. While he used to be a member of the Army's elite Green Berets, these days Jesse is laying low as a security officer for a basketball arena. What could go wrong there? Turns out sweetie, a lot can go wrong. A group of terrorists are hellbent on extorting bitcoin from the owner of the basketball team, played by Sabryn Rock. They bypass security by bringing 3D printers into the arena to print guns! One of the many twists in Welcome to Sudden Death is that the day the terrorists decide to make their move happens to be bring your kids to work day. This only ratchets up the intensity as Jesse must outmaneuver the terrorists and save innocent bystanders from the nefarious Bitcoin scheme. Yes, there are laughs here, but is there ass? Sadly the very sexy Michael Jai White doesn't find much of an opportunity to go nude while protecting a basketball stadium from Bitcoin terrorists. However he does manage to get his shirt off in a couple of scenes! He may be in his early 50s in Welcome to Sudden Death, but you wouldn't know it by looking at his ultra defined abs and pecs! Forget terrorism. He'll make you terrorJIZM!
