It's Foreign Film Friday and I am in serious need of dick. Hmmm...where to go for good dick? Where else: France! Viva la France and their penchant for free-flowing nudity including French full frontal in the 2020 movie Dear Mother.
Laurent Lafitte directed this film that he also stars in as a man named Jean-Louis who is a totally healthy guy. Everything in his life is normal and he has no health problems to speak of. Looking at his beautiful buns, we have to agree: he looks pretty healthy. Granted, I would be happy to give him an exam to really make sure, but Laurent looks fine as hell.
So what's the problem? One day he wakes up and finds that he no longer has a pulse. His heart has simple stopped beating. He is not dead and he can still do everything he would normally do, but he does it all without a beating heart. This really ramps his mid-life crisis up a notch!
He, his wife, and his best friend all try to figure out what has happened to him and whether or not he should be worried. He follows his impulses, fearing that he is on borrowed time, he visits his mom and tries to reconnect with her and encourage her to loosen up a bit.
In one scene with his mom, Laurent Lafitte and Vincent Macaigne are sitting on the couch totally naked. They try to encourage her to join them, but she seems horrified. What gives, lady? You are surrounded by fresh meat. The cocks are in her face at one point! She's so lucky!
Being completely nude does not necessarily help his relationship to his mother, but it helps my relationship to this movie. I am obsessed with his weird attempts to feel alive again - hey, is this all a metaphor? It probably is, but my brain can't work straight right now because it is working extra gay for these naked French men.
