The king of pushing boundaries, Ken Russell, adapted this D.H. Lawrence novel into a sexy movie set in the 1920's in which the leading sisters meet friends Rupert (Alan Bates) and Gerald(Oliver Reed). The women end up being involved with the men - one even marries one of them - but over time they learn just how close these guys really are.
It isn't the women who are in love - it's the men! We adore watching British babes Bates and Reed nude wrestle. This display of masculinity is highly erotic. We can hard-ly watch it without getting stiff.
