Freddie originally comes from Gary, Indiana, where he was an athlete. He played football at Ball State University but got into too much trouble which led to him getting expelled. With his football career in question, he joined the army. But that didn't work out either! It turns out Freddie has a bit of a bad boy streak! With no where else to turn, he took his talents to music.
In 2004, he released his first rap record but it took several years before he really got attention. His mixtape Baby Face Killa became popular in 2012 and he was even nominated for Best Rap Album at the Grammy's for his work with The Alchemist on the album Alfredo. Delicious! While Freddie still doesn't think of himself as a rap star, he has proven that he deserves to be a star. He has enjoyed acting and writing and even played Cousin Buddy on Power Book IV: Force.
But his best work was in his own 2019 music video for Half Manne Half Cocaine. The bushy-bearded boy walked around in a hospital gown which was often just enough in the back to see his ass. We get a better backside view of Mr. Gibbs when he gets mad at a male nurse and runs away. We love to watch him go when his ass is out like that!
So obviously Freddie Gibbs has a good booty. But why is he trending? It's a rap beef. JPEGMAFIA is currently dissing Freddie Gibbs. JPEGMAFIA revealed his seemingly one-sided beef with Gibbs in a series of Tweets over the weekend that all seemed to stem from the fact that they were staying in the same hotel and JPEG was not happy about it. I guess they aren't friends!
