Insecure has officially ended and that finale was beautiful. It was such a perfect ending! I won't spoil anything just in case you are not yet caught up, but you likely know that the beginning of the finale leaves Issa Rae trying to figure out what her heart really wants: does she want to keep dating Nathan, or doe she want to go back to Lawrence? It's a tough decision because they are both super sexy.
So let's make the decision for ourselves, too. Who is hotter: Kendrick Sampson or Jay Ellis?
Nathan is played by Kendrick Sampson and his character was super complicated. A sexy man with light eyes and an irresistibly deep drawl who struggled with his mental health. He disappeared on Issa and then reappeared when Issa was unsure of what she really wanted. But how could she not want this:
Kendrick brought a sensitivity to Nathan when he returned that was so sexy to watch. What's sexier than a man who has done some serious work on himself? Well, a man who has a body like this:
Lawrence is played by the ultra suave Jay Ellis. He certainly went on a journey in the show! From messy breakups to hooking up to getting another woman pregnant to reconnecting with Issa to being a dad and ultimately professing his love to Issa at a party in front of Nathan. Yikes! What a journey.
We all probably let Lawrence get away with so much on the show because he is SO fine. Jay Ellis brought his signature smile and his perky peach to the part. Damn, he can be our daddy with a body like that.
Again, I won't spoil what Issa ultimately does in the show, but it's not hard to see why her heart would be torn between these two lovers. Who would you choose?
