Our crush today is a man who has been making headlines all month - and for good things. The rising star went to Disney and had all of us wondering who the hunky new Prince Eric is in Disney's The Little Mermaid. Well, it's Jonah Hauer-King and he is this week's crush for Man Crush Monday.
Jonah Hauer-King is everywhere right now. Why is that exactly? Well, he is the latest Disney prince in the live-action remake of Disney's classic cartoon The Little Mermaid alongside Halle Bailey. He has made waves with his hotness! He has certainly made a splash to those us who crave a sexy man like himself! Okay, I'll stop with the mermaid puns...but Jonah straight up makes me wet. Okay, that's it! I swear!
He is also making headlines for a PBS adaptation of Little Women that he stars in alongside Maya Hawke. Critics are praising it for being the most faithful adaptation of the book in recent memory. He also had fun on set with costumes and tried on corsets and bonnets "in solidarity" with his female castmates. Hey, I love a man who can experiment!
So where did this dude come from? He's a British man of high pedigree. In fact, he went to Eaton College just like Prince Harry! He studied theology at Cambridge and graduated in 2017 while starring in films and TV shows on the side. Smart and talented? No fair! The tall hunk with a chiseled jaw has blazing blue eyes and dark hair. He is stunning!
He did go nude once before. He starred in the 2017 film Ashes in the Snow where he proved that he could melt any snow with his hot hiney. He went pantsless for a scene that melted our hearts, anyway. It also gave us all hard-ons! That booty must have set the fire that caused the ashes.
After he skinny-dips in the lake, a woman who was watching steals his clothes. She must have really liked what she saw and she wanted to keep it that way! She runs away with his clothes, so he has to follow the horny thief to get his clothes back. Run, girl, run! That was Jonah's only formal nude scene to date, but I have hope for him in the future. I really do not think that he will stick to Disney's levels of purity. He seems like the kind of actor who likes to stretch himself and try new things (remember that experimentation story from above?).
His next move is to star in a drama (of course). He will star in The Tattooist of Auschwitz, so we are certain that we are in for some serious drama. It might even be a tear-jerker. I'm fine with that because everything that Jonah stars in is a jerker.
