Anthony Head, who won fans over as Giles in the cult classic series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and then lost them as the truly villainous Rupert Mannion in the Emmy-winning comedy Ted Lasso, has passed away due to complications from pneumonia.
Born in London, the handsome Brit started out his career in musical theatre, and after making his small screen debut in 1978, continued to rack up well over one hundred roles during the rest of his seventy-two years on Earth (and some folks may not realize one of them had him going nude!)

He’d return to the theatre to take on the role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, the sweet transvestite from Transylvania made famous by Tim Curry in the West End revival of The Rocky Horror Show from 1990 to 1991, a few years before his breakout role on Buffy. But before either of those, Anthony brought out his bare ass for the first and only time on screen in the 1987 action thriller A Prayer for the Dying. He and a buddy are held at gunpoint and made to strip, then we get a view of his naked bum as he heads off to jump in the water. See the full scene here:
His ass never made another appearance after A Prayer for the Dying, though we prayed and were dying to see it in all its glory again, and now sadly, we’ll never get the chance, though we know he would have absolutely slayed another nude scene.
