It finally happened. The sexiest man alive has come forth about his sexuality, and we are queer for it! Shawn Mendes has been at the center of speculation since busting out in his teens, and now that he's a twenty-six-year-old man, he's ready to confront the rumors head on. Shawn is currently on tour, and took his show at the Red Rock Amphitheater as an opportunity to set the record gay. I mean straight. Sit, back and soak it all in, because this is what Shawn Mendes had to say to the world about his sexuality:

There’s this thing about my sexuality, and people have been talking about it so long. I think sexuality is such a beautifully complex thing, and it’s so hard to just put into boxes.

The real truth about my life and my sexuality is that, man, I’m just figuring it out like everyone. I don’t really know sometimes and I know other times. And it feels really scary because we live in a society that has a lot to say about that. And I’m trying to be really brave and just allow myself to be a human and feel things. And that’s all I really want to say about that for now.

But you've said so much, Shawn. This bold admission all but proves that Shawn swings both ways. We always applaud celebs for being their out and proud true selves, and we think that Shawn is going to feel like he has a load off his back now that he's come out publically. And getting a load off Shawn's back is always a good thing.
