In this new video, a soulful Mendes opens wide up about how his sense of self shifted when he switched from wearing Chelsea boots to Converse sneakers. This is not a drill. This really happened, and now we find ourselves questioning all of our footwear decisions! Mendes reveals that the transition has helped him take himself less seriously "in a really good way." Menes also says that when it comes to switching footwear styles, "Everyone takes it at their own pace."
