But change is in the air, as French pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati made pole vaulting the sexiest sport of the 2024 Summer Games in Paris. His pole vault was thwarted by his penis and balls! Ammirati, the consummate professional, hasn't spoken out about the penis that had the world abuzz, but he did talk about this failed vault, stating:
I was 100 percent physically, but I was missing a bit of pole vault. The conditions were good. It’s the first time I’ve started a competition without any stress. As I was a total outsider, I only had one goal: to interact with the audience. I was almost there.
Hilariously, commentators were at a loss for words when the camera caught this close-up, show-motion shot of Ammirati's penis bulge catching the pole. What does one say when in the presence of such a bulge? Ammirati may have lost the gold, but he won our hearts!
