Biography

Everyone knows the handsome Adam West for doing double duty as both Bruce Wayne and Batman (spoiler alert?) on the popular action series Batman. But before he was fighting crime in Gotham City, Adam was doing radio work for the Army. From there, he ended up on local TV doing a weird show with a chimp sidekick, before moving to Hollywood and making guest appearances on well-known westerns like Colt .45, Maverick, The Rifleman, and Laramie. But just when it looked like he would be a familiar face but never a star, in 1966, at nearly forty years old, Adam became the caped crusader. While that show has become legendary, it only aired for two years. After hanging up the iconic cowl and cape, Adam did some TV work in stuff like The Night Gallery and Emergency!, then hit the silver screen to earn roles in the films Curse of the Moon Child (1972), The Specialist (1975), and Hooper (1978). The crazy comedy The Happy Hooker Goes Hollywood (1980) marked Adam’s nude debut, thanks to a butt-flashing skinny dipping scene. Look hard enough and you might even spot some bat-weiner. Marvel? DC. Let's marvel at seeing that D!  With such a tight and pleasing posterior, it seems as though Adam wouldn’t want to appear on screen with clothes on. Unfortunately for us, the manly actor has mostly kept his good parts covered, only to tease some shirtless fun in the sex-filled flick Young Lady Chatterly II (1985). While Mr. Man has put the Bat-signal in the sky in hopes that our hero will answer our pervy call, Adam mainly did voice work in his later years. As every big Batman movie brought his name back into the limelight, he voiced himself on The Simpsons, Johnny Bravo, Fairly OddParents, Futurama, and most famously on Family Guy, where he was the town mayor. Unfortunately, Adam passed away in 2017, but when he was in his crimefighting prime: riddle me this, riddle me that, after seeing him naked, we'd like to diddle the bat!
