Camilla Dickinson (2012)

Camilla Dickinson (2012) is a period romance that is set in old New York City in the 1930s in which a pair of young love birds falls for each other against all odds. The girl is from a "good" family that has money and respect and the boy is her friend's brother who is a little bit of a "bad seed". The young lady's parents do not approve because this young man is a bit of a rebel, so she says that she wishes her parents could feel what she feels...only to find out first hand that her mom is having an affair. This discovery sets off a chain of devastating events for the young woman as her parents' marriage falls apart in high society NYC. It's a story of teen love that gets compared and tossed about by adults who are also in a mess of love and relationships. It's a tender and romantic coming of age story based on the novel Camilla by Madeleine L'Engle. Gregg Sulkin plays Frank Rowan who is the rebellious teen hunk that she starts dating. We get to see exactly what her attraction in his is when we see him go shirtless in one scene. He has a towel wrapped around his waist as he chats with a lucky lady in his bedroom. This scene in Camilla Dickinson is rather vanilla, so we hope that next time Gregg spices it up a bit for us. There's nothing to sulk about when you check out sexy Gregg Sulkin!
