Ceresia (2016)

Directors of indie flicks typically begin by shooting short films. So, it’s no surprise that Jason Wade Hammonds homed his craft with the cinematic shorts The Jackknife Memoriam (2007), Diane Skyhawk (2008), American Way (2009), Believer (2010), Scared to Death (2011), and Trash Talk (2015) before writing, directing and producing the feature Ceresia (2016). The 82-minute character study follows Eddie (Daniel Bielinski) who has undergone a trial drug called Ceresia to help with his mental illness. But as the medication nears FDA approval, Eddie starts experiencing side effects that bring up the past trauma of losing his mother (Amanda Evans, credited as Mandy Evans) in a fatal accident. As you may guess, this causes problems in his current relationship. But what comes next is a total shocker: Eddie winds up kidnapping his new girlfriend (Angelique Cabral) and his doctor (Craig Wroe). Will Eddie regain his senses and let them go? Will the FDA put Ceresia on the market? Who cares so long as we can see some skin! Our leading man doesn’t let us down since he flashes his fuzzy chest in several scenes. We get to ogle the brunette babe as he bares his broad shoulders and hairy torso in the bed, bath, and beyond. When the topless hottie frolics with his lucky lady in the water, he’ll make a splash in your pants! If that’s not arousing enough, Mr. Bielinski can also be seen strutting his stuff in his underwear. Forget Ceresia, this uplifting sight will cure depression and more!
