Children of Huang Shi, The (2008)

Inspired by actual events, the war drama The Children of Huang Shi (2008) tells the story of George Hogg (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), a enthusiastic British journalist, who single-handedly rescues six orphaned children. What a man! The brave fellow leads the kids on an thousand plus mile journey along the Silk Road, through treacherous mountain passes and life-draining deserts. Along the trek, George manages to fall in love with a strong-willed nurse, Lee (Radha Mitchell), and befriend Jack (Yun-Fat Chow), the leader of a rebel Chinese faction. Of course, George can’t compete this epic journey without help from Mrs. Wang (Michelle Yeoh), a kind hearted aristocrat that helps guide him and his children to safety in a remote village near the end of the Great Wall of China. The drama is high, but the nudity is low. Jonathan Rhys Meyers does manage to show off his sexy, shirtless body, but you have to go on a really long journey to get there!
