Review

A protestant businessman and a Jewish anarchist take dramatically different life paths in the aftermath of WWI in the scathing social drama Das Spinnennetz (1989). Also known as "Spider's Web" Ulrich Mühe stars as Theodor Lohse, an avaricious capitalist who exploits the uncertainty in post-war Germany for material gain. Germany has just lost World War One, and a whole lot of dudes are looking to assign some blame. Theodor is convinced it was all the fault of the Democrats, Socialists and Jews, so soon enough he finds himself rising up the ladder of an underground organization called S II. After having gay sex with Prince Heinrich (Peter Roggisch) to prove his loyalty to the cause, Theodor runs into a Jewish man named Lenz (Klaus Maria Brandauer) who knows everything about everybody. Eventually Theodor will go after some Jews, which ends their partnership and leads to Lenz beating up Theodor, and Theodor getting some thugs to kill Lenz. Of course, this one ends with Theodor joining a new group that really hate the Jews. Guess who's? Here's a hint: Theodor better hope they never find out about the night he played princess! We can't blame Heinrich for wanting to play with that dick after seeing the smoldering, penis-baring performance of Ulrich Mühe. Ulrich is capital ‘H’ hot when he flashes cock and keister in bed with a redhead before hopping up and checking out the nude portrait she made of him. Yes Theodor, your naked figure is truly a work of art! We'll see this thin waif of a Weimar Republic member going fully frontal in the bathroom a bit later, pouring some cold water on top of his nude body. We'll even get to see his buns and cock when he strips down for a doc! With all that Ulrich dick, Das Spinnennetz will have your head spinning!
