Like Mr. Man is the only one to have ever done a thing with genuine and Ginuwine…) The hot R&B singer-songwriter, dancer, and actor was born Elgin Baylor Lumpkin (now you know why he changed his name), and was one of the best-selling musical acts of the late ‘90s and early 2000s, with his popularity and accolades continuing through the years. He earned a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album in 2014, sharing it with Tyrese Gibson and Durrell “Tank” Babbs for the album Three Kings. His own solo album, 100% Ginuwine, got him a Best R&B/Soul Album Soul Train Award in 2000. Raised in Washington D.C., he idolized Michael Jackson and performed in several local bands as a youth in the late ‘80s. He graduated from Forestville High School in 1993, and later Prince George's Community College, obtaining a paralegal associate's degree. Ginuwine appeared in a music video for the group Jodeci and sang vocals for other acts before befriending Missy Elliot and producer Timbaland.
