Kriya (2020)

Kriya (2020) is a horror film that takes us all on a nightmarish journey as we follow a young man named Neel who is a working DJ who finds himself haunted one night by a demon named Sitara (Navjot Randhawa). He did not know that she was evil at first. He met her at the club one night and when he went back to her apartment he finds that her own father is shackled up and gagged in Sitara's apartment. She and her family are mourning his coming death and need someone to perform last rites rituals. However, in their Indian family, only a son can perform the death rituals and they do not have a son to do it. Sitara asks Neel to do it for them and he agrees. After her father dies, he starts hallucinating after being engulfed in some ritual magic that Sitara convinced him to practice for them, and then he is in a world of horrifying magic where he learns that Sitara's family is being bound by an ancient curse. Now he is cursed too! Sidharth Srinivasan wrote and directed this horror fantasy that delivers Noble Luke as the leading man.
