Last night Brad Pitt took home the first Oscar at the Academy Awards for his work as the best supporting actor in Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood. Yes, he was good. He was so suave and sexy and cool - as per usual - but he also iconically took off his shirt to show off stellar abs.
This was his first Oscar for acting. He has won an Oscar for being a producer for 12 Years a Slave but otherwise, this one is his first. It's definitely not his first nomination. He was first nominated in 1996 for best-supporting actor in 12 Monkeys and then for actor in a leading role in 2009 for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and in 2012 in Moneyball. Great roles, but none of them showcased his abs in the same way that Once Upon a Time did. See what I'm trying to say? If his abs are shown, then minds will be blown. Embroider that on a pillow.
I mean, obviously, that's not a rule the Academy lives by. He showed his buns in 12 Monkeys just like he did in Troy and Kalifornia.
He may be a supporting actor, but he has leading man looks for days. This is why Brad Pitt is today's Man Crush for Man Crush Monday. Who am I kidding? He's always my crush.
