The guy stealing the spotlight for today's Man Crush Monday is Jake Lacy. He's starring in The White Lotus, but he's been around making us swoon with his signature smile.
Jake Lacy's character on The White Lotus is so cringe and awful. He is clearly playing this kind of asshole SO well because I am always uncomfortable when he complains to the hotel manager over the smallest things (who cares if you don't get The Pineapple Room, dude?!). That being said...he's still hot. Plus this is the role that finally showed us his ass.
I've been a fan of his ever since he starred as the sweet romantic lead in Obvious Child in which he literally seemed like the very best guy. He was just the overall perfect love interest who was supportive and kind! Plus hot! He basically played a similar version of that character in the series High Fidelity.
He was the love interest who is really into the main character, played by Zoe Kravitz, but she wasn't really feeling it. At least he looked super hot shirtless in the series.
Or maybe you remember him as Lena Dunham's "nice guy" boyfriend in Girls? Now that was a strange relationship! The role that he did that never gets enough praise is his portrayal of a comedian in the 70s in the short-lived series I'm Dying Up Here. We were dying to see his cock, but he hid it from us.
After his amazing work in The White Lotus, it's pretty clear that Jake Lacy is not going anywhere. If anything, he is about to blast off into superstardom. He is really good at playing genuinely nice guys, assholes, and guys who seem nice but are actually kind of dicks underneath the glossy surface. In other words, he has range!
