When you think of hot young actors from the early 1980s, one of the first names that’s sure to come to mind is Matt Lattanzi. Unfortunately, much like Jake from Sixteen Candles (1984), Michael Schoeffling, Matt was an eighties heartthrob who didn't stick with acting as he moved into middle age. But we won't shed any tears for Matt, who many knew as the lucky man who got to shed his clothes and get physical with his onetime wife, Olivia Newton-John. Originally from Portland, Matt met Olivia while playing a dancer in what would be is first screen role in the film Xanadu (1980). One look at Matt and Olivia knew she wanted to Xana-do him, so he went on to appear in her "Let's Get Physical" music video before they were married in 1984. While Grease (1978) made Olivia a star, she didn't appear in the sequel. Instead, Matt carried the family banner with a small role as the varsity jacket wearing big man on campus Brad in Grease 2 (1982). But Matt will forever be known for starring in the flick that had horny dudes pretending they couldn't grasp the material: My Tutor (1983). Matt plays Bobby Chrystal, a rich kid whose dad can get him a spot at Yale as long as he does well on his French final. His dad hires the hottest tutor ever, and soon enough Matt's learning the international language of love making. It's an eighties classic thanks to its looks at Matt's bod as he brushes his teeth in the shower, a shot of his butt as he has the tutor begging for la'more! more! more! and a peek at his bulge while he swims in his pool. We'd give that baguette a French kiss! Take notes fellas, that's what a man should look like! Matt moved on to play Dylan Malone in the racing drama Catch Me If You Can (1989), joined Kristy Swanson in the high school diving drama Diving In (1990), and after a long break from acting came back as Cooper Hart on Paradise Beach. Unfortunately there was trouble in paradise offscreen, as his marriage to Newton-John ended in 1995, though they did have a daughter together. In fact, the last time we saw Matt onscreen was when he was supporting his daughter on the kids of famous singers reality competition Rock the Cradle. A full blown DILF, Matt looked like he could still rock our world. We'd love to see Matt Lattanzi return to acting. After all, we never got to learn what the My Tutor star looked like completely nude.
