Best known for starring as King Durin III in Amazon Prime's The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series, Peter Mullan is an award-winning actor (Top of the Lake) and filmmaker (The Magdalene Sisters, Neds). Born, appropriately enough, in the industrial burg of Peterhead, the Scottish stud shares the same rough working-class upbringing as many of the characters he portrays. Peter served as a bouncer and briefly joined a street gang before escaping to the University of Glasgow, where he developed his love for acting. After making his movie debut in the bare-knuckle boxing drama The Big Man (1990), Mullan became known for playing grizzled characters in Shallow Grave (1994), Braveheart (1995), and Trainspotting (1996) wherein he flashes his bare ass! Soon after, Pete won the Best Actor award at Cannes for Ken Loach’s romantic drama My Name is Joe (1998). Next came Young Adam (2003), for which Peter strips to expose his abs, ass, shaft and sack! Roles in Tyrannosaur (2009), Children of Men (2006) and War Horse (2011) followed as well as the final two blockbuster installments of the J.K. Rowling franchise Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Parts 1 and 2 (2010-2011). No stranger to the small screen, Pete could be seen on Westworld and Cursed in 2020. The following year, the prolific performer popped up in the miniseries The Underground Railroad and The North Water. But not before he thrilled fans by appearing shirtless in the Netflix thriller Ozark (2017-2018). Topless is good, but bottomless is better. Let’s see your peter, Mullan.
