Spoiler Alert (2022)

Based on the book Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies by Michael Ausiello, Spoiler Alert (2022) is the tale of the author—played here by Jim Parsons—and his relationship with Kit Cowan (Ben Aldridge), which ended in Cowan's tragic death from cancer. Directed by The State's Michael Showalter (The Big Sick, The Eyes of Tammy Faye), the film is a bittersweet rom-dram that begins with Cowan's death and then flashes back to the beginning of the 14 year relationship, basically going chronologically from there. While the film is certainly tender, it's not terribly sexy outside of some early scenes of Ben Aldridge and Jim Parsons kissing at a nightclub or bulging out their undies in bed together. Spoiler Alert: You're gonna need some Kleenex handy when you watch this flick... you'll just be using them the way they were intended!
