The Pit and the Pendulum (1991)

The Pit and the Pendulum (1991) is a horror film set in Toledo, Spain, in 1492 which was an ancient city where three different religions used to live harmoniously. Muslims, Jews, and Christians lived together in this medieval city that is located about an hour outside of Madrid on an elevated hill and was once a major political center in the old Spanish kingdom. Now, at the height of the Spanish Inquisition, the evil monk Torquemada who is the Grand Inquisitor of the entire Spanish Inquisition wants to unleash his terror on the poor people in the town. This story is loosely based on the original Edgar Allen Poe tale of the same name, but with a medieval Spanish twist to heighten the horror. Lance Henriksen plays the tormented tormentor, Torquemada, who allegedly had to be in character for the entirety of his shoot and was so exhausted by it that as soon as he was finished playing the sadistic madman, he just wanted to go home to the states instead of vacation around Europe with his girlfriend. That is how committed he was to his role! He was also committed to being shirtless. He goes shirtless in one scene to show off his lean muscles and skinny chest. His arms are looking strong and lean like this is a guy who does yoga (in the movie he just does torture, but it looks like that works him out plenty). If you feel a pit in your pants, it's because you like the way this guy looks!
