The Wheel of Time (2021-2023)

Amazon brings us this live action epic based on the book series from brilliant author Robert Jordan, The Wheel of Time.  The men and women living in this unnamed world live an an age where past and future are cyclical, since the dawn of their origin from The Creator, who forged The Wheel of Time and the patterns of the ages are spun off of the center of the wheel, threaded by their lives.  In this timeless and nameless world, magic exists but not everyone has the various abilities to harness the power of the world, the ones who can are known as Channelers.  When The Creator forged the wheel, he also was forced to imprison The Dark One, who stands against all that is good in their world, but alas, like any good fantasy story, The Dark One escapes his prison and his evil seeps back into the world, forcing the mystical Channelers to band together to try and stop the forces of evil from over coming the Wheel.  When the wars of man and women rage on over the thousands of years, we find ourselves dropped into the opening stages of The Prophesies of the Dragon and a pair of channelers, Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) and Lan (Daniel Henney) must comb the lands looking for allies while also avoiding the bad guys, evil creatures, inquisitors at the behest of The Dark One to solve age old mysteries.  The delicious Daniel Henney shows his heinie in the very first episode for his nude debut and a very shirtless Josha Stradowski proves to be a hero in the making!
