Y: The Last Man (2021)

Y: The Last Man is an FX and Hulu co-production that debuted in early September 2021 and is based on the long running dystopian comic book series of the same name by Brian K. Vaughn and Pia Guerra. When the series begins, Yorick Brown (Ben Schnetzer) is just your average joe with a pet capuchin monkey named Ampersand, a powerful Senator mother (Diane Lane), and an activist sister named Hero (Olivia Thirlby). However, a catastrophic event occurs worldwide wherein suddenly and without warning, every living thing with a Y chromosome drops dead... except for Yorick and Ampersand. With the government in chaos, Yorick's mother becomes President of the United States and her first order of business is to track down her son and hopefully figure out why he and his monkey are somehow immune to this plague that wiped every male organism off the face of the planet. Sending in her most trusted soldier, Agent 355 (Ashley Romans), she is hoping to get Yorick to an underground genetics facility where the best people in the industry can figure out how he survived and if he happens to hold the key to bringing mankind back from the brink of extinction! The show gets off to a bit of a skinsational start, though we honestly could've used a bit more nudity. Ben Schnetzer finds himself completely nude in a dry cleaners, scrounging for clothes, when he's discovered by a trio of women. We get a couple of glimpses of his bare ass, but with that being the only nudity in the show to date, we're left wondering Y?
