With the release of the new David Bowie documentary Moonage Daydream, we’re taking this opportunity to look back at the legendary performer’s most iconic nude scenes on film. The groundbreaking Brit never did anything halfway, and that includes getting naked for the camera. Here are some of our favorite times Bowie bared it all:
After bursting on to the music scene with his androgynous alien persona Ziggy Stardust, David played another humanoid alien in the 1976’sThe Man Who Fell To Earth, a cult film where he lands in New Mexico and becomes addicted to alcohol, which eventually leads to some odd, mock-violent sex with a gun firing blanks and lots of shots of his butt, cock, and balls.

In his next film, Just a Gigolo, we’re gifted an awkward bathtub scene in which his wet WWI vet covers up in a tiny towel. We’re daydreaming that this gigolo just drops the towel and gives us more of the good stuff.

And in 1983’s erotic vampire thriller The Hunger, the Rebel Rebel goes nude to get clean again, but this time Bowie’s not alone. It’s both him and a supposed butt double in a steamy shower scene with Catherine Deneuve.

And although he's fully clothed, special dispensation goes out to David Bowie's Jareth The Goblin King from the Jim Henson's Labyrinth, a seminal film performance complete with a mammoth bulge that no doubt birthed countless sexual awakenings.
