Biography

Born in New York City in 1974, Donald Faison is still perhaps best known for two of the goofiest roles of his career. He first came to most people's attention thanks to his role as Murray in Clueless (1995) with Alicia Silverstone, where he made a mouth full of braces look endearing and adorable. He repeated the role for the television series spin-off, but his true television fame came in the role of Turk on the hit comedy series Scrubsfrom 2001-2010. He then grabbed another role right away, playing Phil Chase in the TVLand series The Exesfrom 2011-2015, then Antoine A’Shawn Anderson in Ray Donovan from 2017-2018. You can also see him as Principal Anderson in Timeline in 2019, playing Alex Evans on Emergence from 2019-2020, Fletch in Blark and Son from 2018-2021, and Tom Maultsby in The L Word: Generation Q in 2021. A graduate of the Professional Children’s School in New York City, he’s also no stranger to the big screen, and has appeared in a number of hit flicks besides Clueless. You’ll probably remember his acapella singing in Pitch Perfect (2012), and before that, playing Loretta Devine’s son in Waiting to Exhale (1995) with Whitney Houston, as a psychiatric prisoner in Twelve Monkeys (1995) with Brad Pitt, playing the drummer in Can’t Hardly Wait (1998) with Jennifer Love Hewitt, as Petey Jones in Remember the Titans (2000) with Denzel Washington, the lovable Huey in Uptown Girls (2003) with his Clueless co-star Brittany Murphy, and Mr. Stewart in Embattled (2020) with Stephen Dorff. Playing Ward in the dark comedy Let's Kill Ward's Wife (2014) with Scott Foley and Patrick Wilson, Donald strips down to his boxers to reveal a pumped-up chest. He’s funny, yes—but he’s also hot. Mr. Man likes that.
