Evan Peters makes us scream and makes us cream when he plays his crazy, rage-filled characters on American Horror Story. Peters has been in the show from beginning playing a tormented ghost-boy-next-door in season one and going from there to an alien abductee, a deranged cult leader, a survivor of an apocalypse, a murderous member of a freakshow (based on real-life "lobster boy" murderer Grady Stiles),and many more.
With all that drama and trauma, Evan has understandably decided to sit this next one out. He told an Extra reporter that he will not be in season nine of Ryan Murphy's horror anthology series. Please, Evan, say it isn't so! Is this just some horrible horror prank?
We do get it. He almost only plays the heaviest possible characters and between that and his dramatic role on FX'sPose, Evan needs a break. The 32-year-old says he needs to do this for his own mental health. While we understand, we do feel that seeing Evan's buns is good for our mental health.
He's played gay three times on the series. Once as an aristocrat sleeping with his slave in season six and another time during season eight Apocalypse, and during his cult series when he seduced men and women. In real life, Evan Peters is on-again-off-again engaged to AHS co-star Emma Roberts, but we do love seeing him flirt with gay. Sigh. A girl can dream, right?
For as much as we loved seeing his buns throughout the series or watching him kiss Colton Haynes, we also really loved his naked freakout in American Horror Story: Coven (season three). Evan has talked in interviews about his cock-sock slipping off in that scene which is so fun to imagine as we watch this discreetly edited (aka no cock) nude scene.
We wonder what this means for Peters. We hope he doesn't take a complete break from acting. If anything, we hope this opens him up for meatier roles with more nudity!
