There's a brand new The Man Who Fell to Earth in town and it is already hot. If that title sounds familiar to you, then you are a keen fan of male nudity. While the new series definitely has nudity in it, it is a loosely based continuation of the 1970s trippy flick that gave us nudity from rockstar David Bowie. That leads me to ask: how do these nude scenes compare? Let's take a look.
The brand new The Man Who Fell to Earth is a science-fiction series about an alien who crashes lands on Earth with two missions: blend into the human population in order to see as human as possible and meet the one woman on Earth who can help save his alien race back home. Chiwetel Ejiofor stars as our leading alien, but he looks all human to me - especially with his delicious derriere.
He shows his ass already on the Showtime series in two separate scenes and we get very good looks at his buns, too. It seems like it is canon that aliens who land on Earth must land naked. I can't complain about that weird sci-fi rule because that ass is out of this world!
He is definitely following in the dudity footsteps set before him by David Bowie. It's funny because I wouldn't really think of Chiwetel as a David Bowie type, but he is definitely making my type "alien" which how hot he is in the series. That being said, David Bowie went full frontal in the film. I can't help but wonder if Chiwetel is going to go all the way and whip out his dick in the coming episodes.
In the original 1976 film from director Nicolas Roeg, Bowie let us check out his pale twink bod in two nude scenes that showed off the ginger hunk's body. From his tight tush to his whole hog, Ziggy Stardust delivered star-making nudity.
Plus, Bernie Casey and Rip Torn both had dick-out nude scenes that are really worth drooling over. I feel like we always talk about David Bowie in the original, but Bernie's thick booty is something to write to your home planet about. No wonder this movie is such a cult classic: the men are absolutely beautiful and they are serving pure nudity.
In general, the original film is very bizarre. It is also based on a novel which is similarly bizarre, but the film takes a lot of those early 70s aesthetics to give us a trippy experience. I feel like the latest series is here to smooth out some of the confusion that the first film instills in its viewers. While the newest series might be a better story, the nudity in the film really can't be beat. I hope that I'm proven wrong!
