Three Grammys and an MTV Video Music Award later, the DJ, rapper and entrepreneur proved he was brave enough, bold enough, and bodacious enough to drop the mic and hit the big and small screens as an actor. In his movie debut, Ludacris exposed his… sense of humor in DJ Pooh’s comedy The Wash (2001). But by 2005, the sexy thespian showed off his… serious side alongside Terrence Howard in both Hustle & Flow and Crash. The latter paid off with a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Critic’s Choice Award. Yet Ludacris really won fans over when he was cast as Tej Parker in 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003), Furious 7 (2015), The Fate of the Furious (2017), and F9 (2021). Justin Lin’s Fast & Furious 6 (2013) proved to be a charm since it features Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel, and the chiseled chest on Ludacris! We can’t wait to see his pecs in Fast X (2023) and Fast & Furious 10 Part 2 (2024). Until then, we can appreciate the amazing overachiever’s accomplishments. He founded the Ludacris Foundation to empower youth and opened a Chicken N Beer restaurant to feed travelers at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
