The Channel 4 documentary named Me & My Penis had us intrigued and aroused just at the title. Artist Ajamu X photographs a bunch of naked guys - he obviously has my dream job - and asks them about their cocks. Literally! That's the documentary. It aired last night on Channel 4 and made waves because it showed an erection on TV.

Actually, it showed a few erections. Ajamu X asks different men about the relationship they have with their penises as an attempt to examine masculinity, body image, and the spectrum of sexuality. It's actually a really cool way of doing this! He talks to men all over the sexuality spectrum as they talk about what it means to have a cock. We'll listen to them talk about it...especially if we can watch them while they do it! That's exactly what this doc provides. How's that for quality edutainment?

More than anything this documentary was a British TV first by showing an erection. This breakthrough in TV nudity blew up Twitter, but Ajamu defended his choices by telling Metro: "I want the images in the film to normalise the penis; especially the erection. By keeping it taboo we give it too much power and don’t allow men to be vulnerable."
