With his ebony-kissed skin, imposing presence, and swell-tastically proportioned lips, Michael Clarke Duncan beat the odds by moving out of Chicago’s south side to find fame in Hollywood. Respectful of his elders, Michael wanted to become a Chicago Bear, but opted for acting when his mother refused to let him play. Thanks Mom! After bouncing at Windy City clubs and being a bodyguard for Jamie Foxx, the 6’5” stunner finally stepped in front of the camera. Through the years, Michael appeared in big screen comedies (The Whole Nine Yards, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, School for Scoundrels); action flicks (Armageddon, Daredevil, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li ); and sci-fi pics (Planet of the Apes, The Island, The Last Mimzy). In 2005, Mike could be seen alongside Clive Owen in the neo-noir crime film Sin City and heard in the animated movies Dinotopia: Quest for the Ruby Sunstone, Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story, and Racing Stripes. The hardworking hunk also lent his baritone vocals to television shows and video games. Of course, the gentle giant is best known for his Oscar-nominated role opposite Tom Hanks in The Green Mile (1999). Yet Mr. Man prefers Mr. Duncan’s flesh-flashing performance in the blockbuster The Scorpion King (2002). Set in ancient Egypt, the epic fantasy features Dwayne Johnson, Kelly Hu, Peter Facinelli, Roger Rees, and Michael’s impressive pecs!
