You just gotta love a character actor! They show up, make movies and TV shows better with small roles, regularly play bad guys or hillbillies or ex-husbands, and even though you might not know their name, you know that face! Nick Searcy is definitely one of the more legendary character actors out there and if you don't recognize this seasoned veteran of movies and TV shows, you haven't been paying close enough attention to what makes those things good! Nick got his start in the 1980s, but really hit his stride in the early 90s with a memorable turn in the Oscar nominated flick Fried Green Tomatoes (1991). He then went on to pop up in just about everything on the big screen for the next two decades, The Fugitive (1993), Nell (1994), Cast Away (2000), Runaway Jury (2003), Moneyball (2011), The Shape of Water (2017), Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017), and on and on the list goes! Fun fact about Nick, he's been in 5 films that have been nominated for Best Picture, so there is something to that character actor charm elevating everything he's touched a bit! Nick has also been in plenty of TV projects over the years too like Justified, 11.22.63, and Manhunt, just to name a few, but it's his Nude Debut in the Dominican Republic period piece drama Hotel Coppelia (2021) that brings those buns our way! Nick plays a ruthless American Army colonel who drops his army issued trousers to screw one of the brothel workers during the American occupation of the country in 1965. Took long enough Nick, but hopefully we can find more of those cheeks in future and maybe even past projects that we missed!
