The effortlessly hot Richard Roundtree is such an iconic actor that his name will be forever synonymous with John Shaft aka Shaft, the famed detective that kicked ass and took names in the classic blaxploitation flicks Shaft (1971), Shaft’s Big Score! (1972), and Shaft in Africa (1973). His hard-ass character was so popular that she even invaded the boob tube for a short period in the eponymously named series that lasted all of seven episodes. Richard was more than just a butt-kicking, no-nonsense detective, which he proved by earning diverse roles in the films An Eye for an Eye (1981), City Heat (1984), The Banker (1989), and George of the Jungle (1997). With well over one hundred of roles to his name, Richard hasn’t shown much skin outside of barring his buns in Shaft and Shaft in Africa. Wish he would’ve shown his shaft!
