Actor Julian Sands, who disappeared while hiking in Southern California’s San Gabriel mountains back in January, has officially been confirmed dead by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. While the tall, handsome blonde Brit didn’t quite achieve the stardom or recognition of some of his peers, he graced us with a number of stellar performances and was a phenomenal nude fixture of 80’s and 90’s cinema.

Julian’s big breakthrough was in the 1985 Merchant Ivory adaptation of the E. M. Forster novel A Room with a View. Many audience members attribute their first sexual awakening to the passionate kiss his George Emerson plants on Helena Bonham Carter’s Lucy Honeychurch on the hillside. We’re sure his amazing full frontal while cavorting with the equally naked Ruper Graves and Simon Callow helped as well.That’s one helluva nice view!

In 1991, he delivered more Hall of Fame-worthy frontal in the drama Husbands and Lovers, and closed out his nude career with 1993’s one-two punch of Boxing Helena and Warlock: The Armageddon. In the former, he busts his buns out in two different scenes and in the latter, Julian’s penis comes out to play for the last time after his Satanic self is reborn in a very gooey fashion.

We’re glad the talented actor will be laid the rest, but we’re sad at the loss of a potential nude comeback from this classic English hunk.
