Just two years ago Lil Nas X bravely came out at the end of Pride Month, and wow, what a difference two years can make. Now the singer has fully embraced his homosexuality, and his gay anthem Montero (Call Me By Your Name) is still staying strong on the Billboard Hot 100 12 weeks after its initial release (the song is down from #1 to #9). But you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. Lil Nas X shocked audiences at this weekend’s BET Awards with a gay as hell performance. This performance is so gay it can’t even think straight. While surrounded by a group of sexy male dancers dressed to the set’s Egyptian theming, Nas passionately locks lips with the dude to his left.

Even in the year 2021, Nas’ declaration of man-on-man hotness drew criticism from those online. But then again, what doesn’t draw criticism from people online. H8ers gonna h8. And ‘b8ers gonna ‘b8! We see absolutely nothing wrong and everything right with Lil Nas X’s steamy gay smooch at the BET Awards. Nas had this response to people who were critical of him mixing homosexuality with African culture: "y'all really like to pretend homosexuality didn't exist in african culture.” Poppeth offeth sister. Music industry legend Diddy even complimented Nas on his salacious viral moment.

It was a night of groundbreaking musical debauchery and we can’t think of a better way to close out this epic Pride Month. Thank you Lil Nas X for being the fearless (and damn sexy) diva that we do not deserve!
