Sid Haig is an American actor and musician with a career spanning several decades. Born Sidney Eddie Mosesian on July 14, 1939 in Fresno, California, his parents were of Armenian descent. He took dancing lessons as a child due to his poor coordnation. Known for being tall, bearded, bald and playing menacing bad guys with a baritone voice, Sid signed a recording contract outta high school and recorded a single as the drummer with the T-Birds in 1958. His passion for acting, which started while in high school, overcame his pursuit of music. Sid trained at the famous Pasadena Playhouse and has since appeared in over 350 films and television shows in 40 years. He acted in several blaxploitation films with Pam Grier in the 70s including Coffy (1973) and Black Mamma White Mamma (1973). Sid has appeared in so many famous productions over the years from The Untouchables to Rob Zombie's The Devil's Rejects (2005) as the Captain Spaulding. In the film The Host (1960), a young Sid is shirtless exposing his hairy chest.
