Set in Madrid in 1936, the Spanish Netflix Original Series The Patient of Dr. García is based on the true story of Dr. Guillermo García (Javier Rey), whose life is changed when he takes in a wounded spy named Manuel Arroyo (Tamar Novas). The good doctor goes from merely being sympathetic to Arroyo and his anti-fascist cause to becoming a major player in the fight against the spread of the nazis into Spain and Latin America the lead up to World War II.
