Grand Jeté is about a mother and son who each have torturous relationships with their bodies. The mom Nadja (actress Sarah Nevada Grether) is an aging ballerina who refuses to call it quits despite her graphically torn-up feet. Emil's character is named Mario and he takes after his mom by putting his body through the ringer. His method of choice? Mario competes in underground ball torture contests. You just have to see it to believe it...
But Mario and his mom have more in common than their self-affliction additions: Each other! The two hook up for some of the most twisted nude/sex scenes ever released. There are only two movies that compete with the crizazyness of Grand Jeté: 2004's Ma mère - where a very young Louis Garrel is seduced by his sex club-loving mom and The Reader - where David Kross is seduced by an illiterate Nazi played by Kate Winslet.
