The thought that "they do things differently in Germany" is quite an understatement when it comes to the intensely taboo relationship at the center of Grand Jeté (2022). Nadja (Sarah Nevada Grether) is not your average cougar, but the professional ballerina is currently engaged in a sexual relationship with the much younger Mario (Emil von Schönfels). Nadja gave up a lot on her road to becoming a professional dancer, including her own infant son, whom Nadja left her own mother (Susanne Bredehöft) to raise in order to aggressively pursue her dream. You've likely surmised the identity of Nadja's younger lover by now which is only going to make the film's content, including a scene where Emil von Schönfels is jerked off to completion by his on-screen mother, all the more upsetting.
