Giraffe (2019) is a sensitive little Danish movie from writer and director Anna Sofie Hartmann that dives into the lives of three different people over the course of one typically Danish summer. What does a 'typically Danish summer' mean? Well, it's actually interesting! In the Scandinavian region of Europe, the summers are very long with a lot of sunlight which leaves only a little bit of darkness at night. The nights are even blue in color! During this summer, a tunnel is being built that plans to connect neighboring countries Denmark and Germany. Well, so? During the construction of this tunnel over the summer, we get to see the lives of three different people. All three of these people come into each other's lives, briefly intersect, change, and then part ways. It's a movie that sweetly and quietly shows the ways in which people are connected much like - dare I say it? - a tunnel! Jakub Gerszal is one of our three main characters and he is a strapping leading man. This blond babe plays Lucek and it's just our luck that he goes shirtless in several different scenes. Whether he is enjoying his long summer sun on the beach while wearing a swimsuit or he is getting busy in bed with a lady that we envy, Jakub is giving us a lot to love with his shirtless scenes. It's a shame that we do not get to see his buns, but his chest might make you as long in the pants as a Giraffe's neck.
