Today is a huge day for moms everywhere because the season two trailer for Bridgerton just dropped! Netflix finally released the long-awaited trailer, just weeks before season two is set to debut on March 25th. Seriously, moms are not okay today. But we have some questions. The trailer doesn't show an iota of skin, which is a little concerning considering one of season one's main selling points was all of the steamy, glorious period-appropriate nudity. Regé-Jean Page famously exited the series after season one, so without his ass, and without any hint of nudity, why would someone tune into season two of Bridgerton?
Jonathan Bailey. That's why. This gorgeous British actor appeared in Bridgerton season one, but he takes the lead this time around as one half of the main couple. He stars opposite Simone Ashley, and in the trailer the two eye f*ck each other the house down. But again, no skin. No matter. In season one Jonathan showed off his fat meaty ass and manly hairy chest! Plus we have footage of Jonathan in his little-known gay role in the short-lived series Crashing!
Speaking of gay, we are loving the fact that Jonathan Bailey is indeed openly gay in real life. Bridgerton producer Shonda Rhimes was the mastermind behind the extremely gay series How To Get Away With Murdering Dat Hole, so we know she has a soft spot for the gays. Bailey boldly opened up to fellow out British icon Ian McKellen during a 2020 interview, stating:
I was coming to terms with my own sexuality, I hadn't necessarily hidden it, but I've never been not honest about it. It's just there had never been a need to talk about it.
